As we dive into this unknown time, many of us are feeling the pull of emotions. Everyone is wanting our attention. Have you noticed how noisy social media has become? Everyone is screaming in the same place wanting you to hear them. I wanted to give you a few simple steps to help you cope especially during this week of election, but you can certainly use these tips anytime you are just feeling overwhelmed and distracted.
Protecting your space, your family, what you know is true is vital. What others are telling you may or may not be the truth, but they certainly want you to believe it. Here are some ways to reconnect with your soul and stay focused on your truth.
Meditation/Prayer: Find a quiet space. Sometimes this may mean waking up before the family or waiting until everyone goes to bed at night. Having a routine of quiet and peace will allow your brain to relax. It is constantly being pulled and tugged from everyone else. Here are a couple of videos that you may enjoy:
Journal: This can be done with the kids. Have a journal time and write down all the things you are grateful for. There is a lot of things that we cannot control but there are also a lot of things we can certainly be grateful for. Having a space that brings our minds back to this gratifying state will help remember what we appreciate in life and bring a smile to our life.
Cleanse: This can look differently for everyone depending on how you are feeling. Go simple and clean our a kitchen drawer, dive into that closet, or even do a food cleanse. Whatever that looks like for you, cleansing and purging is a great way for our mind to release and go back to what is important. Giving or donating our items away will bring joy. Replace the unwanted things with something new or healthy that brightens you up. Maybe that is a new sweater or maybe that is a green plant for your kitchen, or maybe that is stocking your fridge with healthy foods. This is a practice you could do monthly or even weekly. Start small and then work up. You will be amazed on how good you start to feel when you begin to organized or release unwanted things.
Music: Music is very healing and is constantly being played at our house. We always have some peaceful morning music on as the kids wake up and they have their breakfast. We then transition to classical studying music during our homeschool time. In the afternoons we have a fun and upbeat music to get our bodies moving during lunch and exercise time. And then we jazz playing at dinner. I was recently introduced to the healing vibrations of music and how that can help our mindset.
There are six main solfeggio frequencies.
The 396 Hz for liberating one from fear and guilt
The 417 Hz frequencies for facilitating change and undoing situations
The 528 Hz for miracles and transformations like DNA repair
The 639 Hz frequencies for relationships and reconnecting
The 741 Hz solfeggio frequencies for getting solutions and expressing themselves
The 852 Hz frequencies for returning one to a spiritual order
We have been really diving into the 417 Hz to help us during this time. You can find playlist on spotify and search by the frequency of music. There are some beautiful songs and I encourage you to give it a try.

5. Oils are something that we use a lot of around the house on a daily basis. Not only do our essential oils help us with our health, but also our emotions. There are oils for grounding and protecting and I am finding myself really drawn to these lately. I think protecting our home and keeping what is sacred to us is important right now but also grounding us to what is important in our lives. Your herb and wood oils are specifically important for these emotions. Here are just a few that I find myself using more:
Arborvitae - The oil of devine grace
Basil - The oil of renewal
Cardamom - the oil of objectivity
Cedarwood - The oil of community
Cassia - The oil of self-assurance
Cilantro - The oil of releasing control
Clove - The oil of boundaries
Copaiba - The oil of unveiling
Coriander - The oil of integrity
Fennel - The oil of responsibility
Frankincense - The oil of truth
Marjoram - The oil of connection
Tea Tree - The oil of energetic boundaries
Here are some diffusers blends to help you get started
I encourage you to try these. Diffusing is a great place to start, but also applying these topically. Start learning how to put some of these in your daily rotation and see how you feel. Through my time that I have been diving more into what our family needs I find that laughing, smiling, dancing, and extra long hugs have been something I have soaked in and can’t get enough of. I do believe that our time will get better as we adapt and change. This has been something we as a whole have needed. Change never feels good. Growing and evolving is hard and uncomfortable but I believe that we as a whole are strong enough to do so. The healthier our minds and body are, the easier it will become.
